I have completed 1 year of the online associates in business program. I am looking into transferring to a nearby community college because they offer a 2 year management degree. I believe that there are several courses I would be able to opt out of given they are very similar to the courses taken online. And I would be able to take more classes at a time. The online classes are on a set schedule. 1, 5 week course or 2, 8 week courses with a 1 week break between. If I were to take classes for the management degree, I could obtain a degree earlier than if I were to continue the online classes.|||The AA degree in management would open doors to a number of clerical types of jobs. The degree is not viewed by businesses as preparing you for management positions, although you could advance to managerial positions if you stay with a firm long enough and learn on the job.
You could do better to go on to a four year school after your AA and complete a BA or BS degree in some business discipline. Those most in demand by employers include accounting, finance, and marketing, but other business fields also offer many opportunities.
