And don't get too stressed about it; they're really only going to skim the resume to see what jobs you've held, it's not a college paper. Your biggest goal at the interview is to sell yourself. Be confident and ask questions of the interviewer that show you're considering what the job will do for you. And DON'T seem desperate or nervous.|||Both are meaningless statements. Obviously no one is going to write, I want this job so I can do nothing but give other people a hard time and sponge off the company.
You need to really convince them that you care about and understand this job.
I am interesting in working in an administrative position in the human resources department. (full stop, it is a clear statement of goal, then you qualify it). I believe that in this position I can both make a positive contribution to the company through my strong organisational and people orientated skills. (this is a statement of why you would fit this position).
You don't just want to say what you want. You want to always say why you would be suitable for the job. In the interview, in the application and the resume you must also be selling yourself.
