Ok I worked for a company for 3 months. I received poor training. I was actually told by the manager at the time for the training and everything I got I was doing a good job. Well after 3 months I had received a new manager. The new manager had actually asked me out on a date. I said no. Not to long after that I had asked off for work for 2 certain days. This was in e-mail. She e-mailed me back saying yes. Well when that week came I didn't go in on the days off I requested. The next day when I came in they sent me home with a write up not following the schedule. Now in this instance I do admit that was my fault for not double checking but I had it in e-mail that I was approved for the days off I asked for, but they didn't care.
Well not too long after that I heard the same manager that asked me out say on the phone to someone the only thing asians are good for is cooking chinese food and doing nails.
Not to long after that I kept getting writeups. None of them were for the same thing, but each one had a final warning.
Well I finally reached out to her boss and hr. Her boss said hr would be involved. Well the next business day I had a meeting with my store manager, the manager I was having problems with, her boss, then the regional director. Guess what? No HR. The regional director was there but I found unfair because her and the person I was having problems with were really really good friends inside and outside of work. I tried to tell them the things that was going on, they didn't care. They just really wrote me up more and said if I want to keep my job I need to revise what I wrote and say Teresa did favortism not harrassment or sexual harrassment. Of course I did, because the economy is so bad I was lucky to even have a job.
Well a week later my store manager were talking and she flat out told me she wouldn't hire a disabled person. I told her that was illegal. She said I don't have to tell them that is why, I can just say they weren't qualified or someone else was better.
Then there was another girl I worked with that she told her she can't get pregnant because if she does she won't get promoted because the company doesn't like dealing with people going on maturnity leave.
Then on feb 2 2009 I called and made a verbal complaint with the EEOC for Missouri. They are mailing me stuff to sign. But on Feb 3rd 2009 they fired me for asking for a transfer to get under different management.
